The Antminer L9 is the scrypt miner in our UAE range. It mines Litecoin and Dogecoin rather than Bitcoin, and that distinction shapes everything about it. Scrypt economics follow the LTC and DOGE markets, a different calculation from every SHA-256 unit we sell, and demand for the L9 reflects it: this is the single most searched-for model we supply. Bitmain ships the L9 in two variants, 16 GH/s and 17 GH/s, and we quote both. It’s the machine for buyers deliberately entering scrypt mining. If you want Bitcoin, the S21 series is your page, not this one.
Which L9 Variant
The two variants share a platform and run at the same efficiency, 210 J/GH. The 16 GH/s unit draws 3,360 W; the 17 GH/s unit draws 3,570 W for the extra gigahash. Because efficiency is identical, neither variant is cheaper to run per unit of work, so the decision comes down to entry cost against hashrate per machine. On scrypt hardware the entry-cost side usually carries it.

Who the L9 Suits
Buyers who’ve already decided on scrypt: operators diversifying beyond Bitcoin exposure, or miners specifically positioned in the LTC/DOGE markets. Condition, Testing & Warranty
New L9 units ship sealed as Bitmain packed them, carrying a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. That warranty is Bitmain’s rather than ours, claimed directly with them, and their site is where the coverage detail lives. We don’t open or modify new units, because doing so would void it.
Where a used unit is available, it runs the full used protocol: bench test under load, recorded stability test, hashrate and temperature log, factory-default firmware, and serial-number photos before dispatch. Used units collected from the Deira workshop carry a 3-day warranty handled case by case; used units shipped outside Dubai carry none, and the testing evidence stands in its place.
What Ships With It
The unit, PSU, and power cables, with the manufacturer’s packaging intact on new stock. Used units additionally come with the bench-test report and serial-number photos taken before dispatch, matching the tested machine to the delivered one.
Running It in the UAE
The L9 is a high-draw air-cooled unit with the same siting requirements as our SHA-256 range: commercial power, designed airflow, no sealed rooms in summer. Budget for 3,360 W continuous on the 16 GH/s variant and 3,570 W on the 17 GH/s. If you have nowhere to run it, hosting takes care of placement, with the repair workshop behind it.
