For most buyers in Qatar the honest recommendation is to buy the machine and have us host it rather than import it. Not because importing is difficult, but because the arithmetic rarely favours it below farm scale. We supply new and used Antminer and Whatsminer hardware from our Deira workshop in Dubai, and we’ll quote both routes so you can see the comparison rather than take our word for it.
Why Hosting Usually Wins on Small Orders
Importing hardware carries fixed costs that don’t shrink with your order. Shipping is quoted per shipment, clearance takes the same effort for two machines as for twenty, and duties apply either way. Spread across a large batch those costs disappear into the per-unit price. Spread across one or two units they’re a significant share of what you paid for the hardware.
Then there’s the site. A miner needs industrial power, real airflow and somewhere the noise doesn’t matter. If you don’t already have that, importing the machine only moves the problem closer to you.
Hosting avoids both. You buy the miner, we place it, get it hashing and keep it monitored, and you watch the same numbers we do through your pool dashboard. The hardware, the pool account and everything it earns stay yours. Nothing is imported, nothing is cleared, and there’s no site to build.
If You’d Rather Import
Plenty of buyers have their own site and staff, and for them importing is the right call.
Delivery is available wherever we can arrange it and quoted per shipment, with cost depending on destination, weight and unit count. Collection from 180 Al Khabaisi, Unit 20612-G-006, Deira, Dubai is the cheapest route if you or an agent can reach us, and the workshop is open Mon–Thu & Sat 10 AM–6 PM, Fri 10 AM–12 PM & 2:30–6 PM GST.
Customs clearance, duties and import compliance in Qatar are the buyer’s responsibility. We supply the hardware and our side of the export paperwork, and the quote states which is which. Shipping paperwork is often included in the channel but never guaranteed, so appoint a licensed clearing agent before anything moves.
Repair, and Why Location Matters
A hosted machine that develops a fault is diagnosed by the same technicians who run our repair workshop, without you arranging anything or the unit going anywhere.
An imported machine has to travel back to reach a bench, with clearance in both directions, then travel home again. On a fleet with on-site staff and spare boards that’s manageable. On a single unit it’s the cost most buyers don’t price in until a hashboard fails.
Testing and Warranty
Used units go through the full protocol before they leave Deira: bench test under load, a recorded stability test at rated hashrate, the hashrate and temperature log shared with you, factory-default firmware and serial-number photos before dispatch. New units ship sealed as the manufacturer packed them, because opening one would void your warranty.
New machines carry a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from Bitmain or MicroBT, claimed directly with them. Used machines collected from the workshop carry 3 days, handled case by case. Used machines shipped outside Dubai carry none, and the testing evidence takes its place. Attend the test in person, or receive video of your unit running before it’s packed.
